WaterWikka is an exciting new water conservation product that is currently being brought to market.

WaterWikka utilizes a patented process that absorbs excess water during the watering of plants and then releases the moisture as the soil dries ensuring that optimal soil moisture is maintained while reducing the time and energy required to water plants. Ideal for hanging baskets, newly planted shrubs, or potted plants, the product is 100% biodegradable, reusable, and long lasting.

WaterWikka is currently available here on our website and in retail stores including the eight locations of GardenWorks.

I came up with the idea in the year 2000 when my husband built me a beautiful greenhouse, arbor and deck. On the deck I wanted to have hanging baskets so I made about 21 of them. Through the summer the weather was very hot and I had to water my baskets twice a day! Well, I worked 12 hour shifts as a nursing aide and found I was watering the plants more than I was enjoying them ... and I loved my plants! I thought there must be a way I could have beautiful plants and not have to water so much. 

There were no products on the market that could do what I wanted so I started thinking about it. I wanted a wick that would hold the water then release it slowly. I tried several things, and one day while having a coffee break it came to me! Work with the 5 elements of the earth. Water, Earth, Metal, Fire and Wood. A feeling came over me from my toes to the tip of my head and I started to cry. Maybe I could change the world ... or at least conserve water on a global scale. I started working on my project and found that it actually worked and worked well. After trying if for a few years I thought this would work for everyone and save Money, Time, Energy and most importantly Water. So I put in for and was eventually granted a North American patent in 2011.

Water - The essential ingredient for anything to live and thrive. 
Earth - The soil the plant must grow in.
Metal - Silver for energy and healing properties
Fire - Charcoal to purify the water
Wood - Coconut fiber to act as a wick and release the water slowly

All of this would incorporate the 5 elements of the earth. After years of testing I am wholeheartedly confident it works!  It not only works with flowers but also for any plant. It can be used in fields, flower beds, vegetable gardens, orchards, wineries, and also anywhere that plants grow but water is scarce.  Everywhere! There really are no limits to the type of plants it will help grow. It can be manufactured to fit any size of growing space required.
